Relax...... Relax ? No time to relax !

Lately I have been very very busy and it's still going to be very hectic the last 2 months of 2013.
But I enjoy it as well !

Ok I will tell you why I'm such a busy lady...............

I'm going to sell my jewerly here in Amsterdam and Eindhoven !

                                           Yippeeeeeeeeeeeee !!

And today I received my copy of this beautiful Italian magazine: 'Bijoux Magazine'.

 



 Inside you will find a tutorial I made for these great polymer clay earrings. More to come !!

So much going on right now !

But I cannot say anything about it, sorryyyyyy.
Maybe within a few days I will be doing a happy dance, I hope so.

Aqua blue green teal turquoise ?

What is the main color of these earrings? I find it difficult so I just mention all the colors in the title, you can choose :-)

These dangle earrings are made of polymer clay with in imprint at the frontside. I filled the imprint with liquid clay mixed with different colors of pastels.
And after curing I coated the earrings with another layer of liquid clay with micro Pearls.
Backside is blue with a layer of varnish.

Indian Summer....

Summer ? Rain, storm and thunder outside here in Amsterdam :-)

I was born in the autumn, and I love the colors, smells and lights outside in this season.
This summer I made these earrings, cabochons made of polymer clay and lots of seed beads.

Update 09142013: This morning I read in the newspaper: 'Indian summer is the period between summer and fall' :-)

4th Element: Fire

I have to make a tutorial for the magazine 'From Polymer to Art', last issue of 2013. And I admit this is a bit of a strugle for me.
4 Magazines in 1 year and each presents 1 of the Elements.

So here you can see several designs for Fire, little drawings, but I'm not satified with 1 of them :-(

 Angela Garrod will teach everything about this gorgeous necklace.

 The work from Alev Gozonar is new to me (my fault hihi). She puts cane slices on flexible wires, and they are mounted on a plexiglas base in different lengths and directions. Fantastic !

Landscape from Scrap

I had some clay leftovers, didn't know what to do with it. Just playing around and ....... there is was my landscape.
Heated the surface a bit so it crackled , filled it in with white paint and 2 birds just passed by ;-)

A bit sad.....

 

Jumpie, our rabbit, died this week. She was with us almost 6 years. Oh she was quite a character you know. She had her moods but she was really sweet.

Now we have one rabbit left, Foxy, 5 years old. She makes us laugh as you can see in the pictures :-)

5 Tips on How To Optimize your Polymer Clay Tutorial on Video

1. Don't show your audience how to open several packages of clay and cutting the clay, we all do know how


2. Before you make your video, prepare all your clay, so don't let me watch 22 seconds of pressing a little ball of clay flat


3. Make the intro of what we do need for the tutorial in seconds, more is boring


4. We do not all speak your language so please, pictures say more than words


5. Stop 'pointing and talking' over and over and over again, please go on !

'Friendship' earrings, 70s pattern, handmade

 

Last month I showed you what I was working on and here it is...... 'Friendship' earrings, made of little tiny balls of polymer clay.





This pattern is high fashion now, mostly used in bracelets.
